This has about the same plot as the first one, only now Andross is back again! He killed off your father, and now it's up to you to stop him from taking over the whole galaxy.

This is a fun, fast paced space/planet shooter. If you play all of the levels, you play as a Arwing (X-Wing rip off), a tank (but with sci-fi jet boosters), and a submarine (with infinite missiles that light the dark ocean floor). Almost every level has multiple endings and depending on how you play you can even get to fight a different version of Andross. The space ships are a little simple looking, but Nintendo makes up for that by showing hundreds on the screen at once. The music gets a little annoying but you don't notice it much when blasting away tons of enemies.  The most impressive part of the game is over a hour of in game chatter, your wingmen just talk and talk through each level, adding realism to the battles. One more advancement that this game made over the first one, is a multiplayer mode. Up to four players can blast each other in two different levels, and you can unlock the ability to play in tanks and on foot with large blasters strapped to your shoulders.

Overall, this is a much better game to play then the first one, it has full voice, more vehicles, and a fun multiplayer mode.
